E. Cesar Trevino:Techer [Hello, my name is Eutimio Cesar Trevino. I have been a theatre teacher for 10 years. I’ve taught Middle School Theatre for 8 years in both South Texas (The Rio Grande Valley) and here in Austin; and Two years of High School Theatre here at John H. Reagan Early College High School in Austin Texas.
My background in Theatre began when I was a Radio/TV/Film major at The University of Texas Pan American, currently the University of Texas Rio Grande Valley (UTRGV). At Pan Am, as it was nicknamed, our RTF (radio/tv/film) program was an extension of our theatre program. In order to be a RTF major, every RTF student had to enroll in at least one acting class. All it took was one semester of acting, and I was immediately bit by the acting bug. I strove to be a strong actor and an even stronger director, and took every theatre and RTF class that I could. Additionally, I worked in the UTPA Theatre department’s scene shop, where I assisted on building sets, painting, hanging and focusing lights, and all technical work for the theatre for four years. Ultimately, I graduated from UTPA in 2003 with a bachelor's degree in Theatre: Radio/Television/Film.
After College, before getting into the teaching profession, I acted and directed a few shot films, was a part-time editor for KRGV Channel 5 News, and even taught theatre at the McAllen Boys & Girls Club. Eventually, finding my calling as a theatre teacher, and the rest as they say, is history.
